Israeli messaging systems provider CTI Squared (CTI²) announced today a partnership agreement with Stellent (Nasdaq: STEL), a US provider of content management solutions. Under the deal, CTI² has embedded the Stellent Outside In Viewer technology in its communications and messaging platform.
The deal paves the way for CTI² to enter the global fax market (in the private and business sectors). CTI² said the Stellent integration expanded its fax server capabilities by enabling mobile and land-line carriers and service providers to offer subscribers the ability to fax documents in more than 225 file formats, such as Word, Excel documents and more.
Stellent's Outside In Viewer technology is designed to provide application software developers with high resolution document viewing without requiring specific applications to run the files. For example, the ability to convert the contents of a file into an image allows the recipient to read a file even if he doesn’t have the particular application to run the file, such as Microsoft Word for .doc files.
In addition, the fax can be sent to a distribution list. CTI² chose Stellent’s technology because of the high resolution of its file to image conversion and also because of the ability of Stellent’s solution to support a wide number of users.
Stellent (formerly known as IntraNet Solutions) has been ranked as one of the top three content management vendors by industry analyst firms Gartner Dataquest, Forrester Research and Aberdeen Group. Its customers include Merrill Lynch, Agilent Technologies, Target Corp., Cox Communications, Yahoo!, Hewlett-Packard and Ericsson Telecom AB.
Separately, CTI² announced today announced a new version of its messaging and communications platform. The new version includes features and services for mobile, home and business users to manage their personal and business communications. CTI² says the new services enable service providers to generate new revenue streams and can easily and incrementally be added to their service offering.
CTI²’s IP-based voicemail replaces legacy voicemail systems, while keeping the same user interface for subscribers and providing enhanced value added services.
CTI²’s says its “Voicemail Plus” service (which is included in the new version of its messaging platform) is designed to increase the value of the service provider’s voicemail service by providing several value-added enhancements. The enhancements include smart SMS notifications of new messages with ability to visually select which voicemail to listen to, a PC based voicemail notifier, and use of web or email client to access the voicemail mailbox.
CTI² provides messaging and communications platforms deployed worldwide by service providers and companies. CTI²’s platform integrates data and voice messaging services over cellular, Internet, PSTN and cable networks. CTI²’s partners include HP, IBM and others. |
